Looking for a new spot in the East Village? Somewhere with a great selection of beers, a good easy going mixed crowd and that doesn’t blast music but plays great tunes so you can actually talk to your friends or new friend…then Cooper Craft and Kitchen may just be your new spot. It’s a cool looking place inside with an L shaped bar up front with bar stools and hooks to hang jackets. In the back is a mix of area to stand and tables to drink as well as dine.
Cooper Craft and Kitchen has a spectacular selection of beers on tap…and I’m not talking your “usual suspects” craft brews…I’m talking beverages like my new fave Greenport Harbor Anti-Freeze, Heavy Seas Black Cannon IPA which I’m a big fan of, and Scarlett Red from Speakeasy. With a selection like this I’m only going to drink on tap…but if you like it out of a bottle or can they have a great selection as well that include beers from Dogfish Head, Butternuts, Lagunitas and the like. If your mate or date don’t drink beer… Coopers Craft and Kitchen has a full bar to accommodate them as well. While they do have a bar food menu I didn’t get to try it out…note to self, put it on to do list.
Coopers Craft and Kitchen is located at 239 E 5th St
