I needed a place close to Grand Central for a business meeting over coffee…next thing I know I’m in chocolate heaven. My friend…hard to miss in her pretty n pink dress ordered a cappuccino and I went with one of their $5 specials, a mug of drip coffee (illy) with a chocolate croissant(they carry a number of baked goods). The coffee was very good and the croissant was light and flaky with good quality chocolate. As an added bonus coffee drinks also come with mini Nibmor dark chocolate bars. The counter up front sits about six, but fret not if its full…there is seating upstairs.
Once we wrapped up our conversation on whats new, exciting and business she headed off to her next meeting. I on the other hand wandered around the store salivating at all the incredible chocolate. 2Beans has its Own brand of chocolates including a wide variety(see a mere sampling below) of flavored bars bars, barks and truffles. Local and imported and Hot Chocolates.
Chris Elbow bars and truffles
David Bradley clusters
Marou bars from Vietnam
Chocolat Moderne Kama
They also have Gelato from Palazzolas, first time i’ve seen it. I tried the Pistachio and the Mascarpone Salty Caramel. They were both amazing, thick, rich creamy and infused with their namesake flavors. It was time to go, but I couldn’t resist.. so I picked up a 2Beans Dark Chocolate Orange Peel bar and two from Christopher Elbow. 2Beans is a great edition by Grand Central for a cup of great coffee, a quick chocolate fix or to pick up something for someone special.
2Beans is located at 100 Park Avenue
