Sports Bar/Gastro-Pub/Craft Beer Bar Stout recently opened up a sister restaurant by Grand Central to cater to said commuter crowd. Much like its Penn Station sibling its a large bi-level tavern with a great selection of Craft Brews (ie Founders, Allagash, Ommegang), a nice sized wine list, a full bar for cocktails, and far better then your avenger sports bar grub. Fan favorites include a large variety of burgers that range from traditional Beef to Crab Meat & Rock Shrimp. Entrees feature Steaks, Shepard’s pie and the like, Salads if your feeling green and a nice selection of starters including a Raw Bar, Lollipop Lamb-Chops and a nice sized portion of Sriracha-Ranch Buffalo wings.
There’s plenty of table seating, a large square shaped bar and of course Flat Screen TVs adorn the walls so you can catch all the games. The staff is friendly, attentive and well versed on the food and drink menu’s. The only real question is aside from being busy during the week with commuters… will they pull in a local crowd on the weekends?
