Espresso Julep

For the most part when I go for coffee I like it dripped or iced. Though I have become a fan of the clever pour overs when I have the time. I cringe and have Kill Bill fantasies when I get stuck behind a line of people ordering chai mocha cappuccino double latte with soy milk and the like that takes forever to order and make. However, when I saw the Espresso Julep($4.00)on the menu at Toby’s after reading about them somewhere I had to try it. Quite simply it’s espresso, mint and basil syrup and steamed  milk poured over ice. Best part…took no time to order or for them to make it and the combo of the espresso and mint really blended well together to deliver a refreshing one-two punch of flavor and energy. If you love mint like I do…here’s another great way to enjoy it.

Toby’s Estate is located at 125 North 6th  Street
